Mt. Hood and Moon, Mid-Eclipse

This image of the partially eclipsed moon rising over the foothills of Mt. Hood was taken on August 27, 2026, as the sunset and moon rise happened nearly simultaneously, tinging the sky with pinks and blues. It was taken from Mt. Tabor Park, in SE Portland, Oregon.
