AR4493 is crackling with M-class solar flares!

Mostly cloudy skies with rain on the way for Sedona, but this morning through the cloud we see that, new sunspot 4493 is emerging rapidly from the depths of the sun--and it has taken the shape of a gigantic ring. And that this sunspot has a 100,000-km-wide structure.
AR4493 is crackling with M-class solar flares, yet even stronger explosions are possible. The sunspot has a 'beta-gamma-delta' magnetic field in which opposite polarities are crowded together in explosive proximity. Earth is squarely in the strike zone if an X-flare occurs today!
