M81 & M82 from Egypt
On 05/06/2026 by Mohammed Abdallah | Suez, Egypt
I've been shooting this for nearly a month. This is M81 & M82 from my backyard in Bortle 8, Suez, Egypt. The interacting galaxies are sitting 12 million light-years away, and it's fascinating to just think about that.
This is about 26 hours of data, 14 hours in NB using the SV220 filter, and 12 hours using Optolong L Pro. I discarded a lot of bad frames, too, so I shot more than 30 hours of data.
