Backyard Pileated Woodpecker

Since moving into our home nearly seven years ago, I’ve been working to turn our small suburban backyard into a little nature and wildlife sanctuary, offering food, water, and shelter for all our animal friends. Each spring, I’ve caught glimpses of a stunning Pileated Woodpecker, but this was the first time I managed to get a clear shot, and I was beyond excited!
