NGC 2359 Thor's helmet nebula.

This is Thor's helmet nebula (NGC2359). What you're seeing here is the Interstellar wind and a presupernova of a Wolf-Rayet star. This is a dying star, and we are seeing it about 12K light-years away.


This target is what got me into astrophotography 7 years ago, and this is only 7 hours of data since Canis Major is harder to shoot nowadays. I was aiming for 30, but maybe some other time.
