Solar activity has returned to normal
On 03/02/2026 11:07 am by Victor Rogus | Website | Sedona, Arizona, USA
After 3 days of blank suns last week, solar activity has returned to normal with multiple sunspot groups crossing the solar disk. Solar Cycle 25 has some life left, after all. NOAA forecasters estimate a 25% chance of M-class flares and a 5% chance of X-flares on March 2nd and 3rd.
All of these sunspots have stable (or decaying) magnetic fields that pose little threat for strong solar flares. (Spaceweather.com)
