The Delayed Sunset

One wise, seasoned photographer once gave me some advice I never forgot: When you are taking photos of a sunset, don’t leave right away when the sun vanishes behind the horizon, because quite often the best is yet to come!”
This was certainly true two evenings ago: The sun had set and the famous Colorado landmark, the stunningly beautiful and dramatic Spanish Peaks were catching the last light on their 13,000+feet tops. The darker it got, the more alive a big cloud was getting , hovering over the peaks, changing from a dull grey to this glowing red about 15 minutes after the actual sunset
