On Monday 26th January, following almost three weeks of overcast and rain, almost clear skies presented a view of the best Volcanic Sunset with Twilight Arch with Crepuscular Rays seen from Mutare since the 12th of December last year! This is the second volcanic sunset to appear within 2 weeks after the 4th Anniversary of the massive eruption of the Hunga-Tonga Volcano (on 15th January 2022) and demonstrates that 4 years later there are still sufficiently dense remnants of volcanic aerosols in the Southern Hemisphere stratosphere to produce occasional colorful post-sunset optical displays!

Compilation of montage of 12 size reduced images of volcanic sunset taken between 6.38 and 6.56 pm.
