C/2025 A6 (Lemmon)

On 10/24/2025 06:30 pm by Tameem Altameemi | Website | United Arab Emirates

Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) was observed and imaged from the United Arab Emirates as it brightens on its approach toward perihelion. At the time of capture, the comet was at an estimated magnitude of +5, making it faintly visible to the unaided eye under dark skies and clearly observable through binoculars and telescopes. The comet was located about 0.72 AU (108 million km) from Earth and approximately 1.1 AU from the Sun.

The image reveals the comet’s bright coma and a distinctly separated dust and ion tail shaped by solar radiation pressure and the solar wind.
