Tropical summer sunset

This photo was taken looking south at 11 minutes after sunset, with the sun three degrees below the western horizon, right in the middle of civil twilight. Similar to previous images that I have shared in EarthSky Community Photos (see #67480), this colorful display was produced by multiple layers of clouds, among which there were some scattered high clouds that tend to appear more frequently around the tropical summer. In this context, the 'tropical summer' spans a season of about six months that includes late spring and early fall.
