Pleiades Star Cluster And California Nebula
On 10/19/2025 10:30 pm by P G SIDDARTHA | Pleiades Star Cluster And California Nebula
This image captures the Pleiades star cluster (M45)
and the California Nebula (NGC 1499), taken using just my mobile phone and a tripod.
The bright blue cluster on the right is the famous Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters. To the left, the faint red glow marks the California Nebula, an emission nebula rich in hydrogen gas. Both lie in the constellation Taurus, making this a stunning wide-field view of the winter sky. It's amazing to see such deep-sky beauty captured with simple equipment under clear night skies.
