Food fuels flying furnace

The forecast calls for mid 40sF here tonight, far below normal for this time of year. All birds in my backyard, including this female ruby throated hummingbird seemed to know that it was going to get cold, and had ravenous appetites to ensure their internal furnaces have plenty of fuel to burn.
