the main dome of Cerro Calan Observatory in Santiago seen in front of the snow-covered Andes background some 6 miles behind it, illuminated by the golden setting sun. Intended to house a 24" Grubb telescope in the sixties, it is now an historical site, the instrument never made its way to the dome.
