Enjoying a January Joyride

After a stretch of well below average temps we got a sunny day and 50F. The hawks around Prairie Queen Recreation Area rode the resulting thermals. This guy cooperated for my favorite photo of the day, coming at me at an angle that created a nice contrast of sun and shadow.
