The Hilina Pali Trail is one of the few backcountry trails inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The trail starts at the top of a lookout point and loses an elavation of 1,378 feet when the trail meets another trail at Ka'aha junction at the base and start of a plateau. The temperature was just perfect at the low 60 F.
