Great Jacamar

I was on my way to Ecuador and had a layover in Panama. I knew a guide there and had asked him to take me out for a day. We went to an area called Pipeline Road, a road used for laying pipes when the Panama Canal was excavated. It's now a great birding spot, all forest. This bird is rarely seen as it tends to stay in the high canopy. I was overwhelmed to see this beautiful bird so low in the forest.
