I took this shot from the Fayoum Desert Valley of Whales in Egypt, which is a UN World Heritage site since 2005 and is well known for its variety of remarkable whale fossils and for having an excellent dark sky. The shot shows 4 marvels of the night sky. California Nebula, which is a faint emission nebula 1000 LY away, Pleiades, or the seven sisters, Aldebran Star and Mars.
