I had been casually photographing the southern sky, and had forgotten it was the best night for the Geminid shower. Reviewing photos the next day, I noticed a few of the 300 frames I'd taken showed trails. This is a particularly nice one, centered on Orion.
Canon SL-2 with vintage Nikon 50mm Series E F1.8 lens set at F/4.0 to avoid blue halos around stars, attached to a Celestron 4SE mount to avoid star trails. Ten second exposure, ISO 800.
