Venus is getting taller and taller, setting earlier. Soon it will disappear from the evening sky and reappear in the morning, flipped, a mirror image of the beautiful crescent we see now. I am trying to follow it a far as possible with the basic equipment I have. Here is Venus, illuminated at 5.7%. Very enchanting to behold. What the eye sees directly is much more beautiful than what this rough picture can show, but I hope that it will inspire you to see it for yourself. Thank you to EarthSky for your much-appreciated work, which is enjoyed by so many now, all over the world.

Samsung Galaxy J6 cell phone, in a Solomark cell phone holder with dilating eyepiece/coupler, shooting through a basic refractor telescope, keeping camera parallel to telescope viewing lens, and Venus in the center of the viewing field, to minimize image distortion and the red-blue bands on the fringes of the image.
