By using the Sun as a guide I was able to get some photos of Venus this afternoon at sunset.
Shining at mag=-3.9, It was only 7.4° from the setting sun and still not visible to the naked eye.
I will also try to record its very close conjunction with Mercury on Sep. 9th.
