I wanted to show what the sky actually looked like, but conveying it in a picture is not easy. I tried a lot of different exposures. When I exposed for the foreground it detracted from the sky, when I exposed for the sky the foreground was jet black. So this is a composite, but I also kept the foreground low key because at a higher key it detracted from the stars. I guess I will be experimenting forever trying to find a combination that I really like .....

Nikon D750 at F2.8 ISO 2000 for 15 seconds

The sky was dark, crystal clear, sprinkled with silver, the display of constellations was wonderful and the moon added the final touch. The Twins, Auriga, Orion, Taurus, The Pleiades, Lepus.
