This was my first real attempt at imaging the Milky Way! There's heavy light pollution near the horizon because this photo was taken near Orlando's biggest theme parks. You can only see a couple dozen stars with the naked eye from this location, but my camera somehow managed to pick out the Milky Way.
Camera: Nikon D5000 with Rokinon 10mm F2.8 Ultra Wide Angle Lens
Sky: 9 stacked exposures @ 13 seconds, ISO 1600, f/2.8
Foreground: 5 stacked exposures @ 6 seconds, ISO 1600, f/2.8
I processed my exposures in Lightroom and then manually aligned and median combined them in Photoshop. I added the labels using Photoshop as well.
