This is an Aquarid meteor I believe based on the radiant direction. The camera is pointed almost directly SW and I would expect a Perseid to more vertical. Throughout the night I did see quite a few meteors from both showers and this wasn't the only reflected meteor I saw. I imagined this picture over a year ago while hiking in Graveyard Fields when I came upon this wide spot in the water. I didn't get a chance to try last year but it was a beautiful clear night and no moon yet so I headed out to try my luck. My luck was good. It's about a 1 mile hike in to this location, in the dark. There are more than a few bears in Graveyard Fields, especially this time of year when the berries are ripening and as it happens this spot is right next to a huge berry patch. I was wishing for no bears every time I saw a meteor and I got my wish.
