Mercury and Mars on June 09, 2019 at about 18h (UTC-3h) over Rio de Janeiro. The 2 planets were 7.1° apart and approaching for a very close conjunction on June 18.

Mercury is the lowest bright dot, just above the hill. Above it and a bit to the right (near the center of the image) is Mars. The star above Mars is Delta Geminorum. The bright stars near the extreme right are Beta and Alpha Geminorum (descending order). Finally, near the extreme left, we see Gamma Gem.
