Sundial confirms Date, Time, and Zodiacal sign at this moment.

The shadow of the Woodland Polar Sundial confirms the date, time, and zodiacal sign at this moment. The figure 8 analemma corrects for the Equation of Time , converting solar time to standard time ( the gnomon is also offset to correct for longitude). The shadow is on the gold ball marking 11/1, indicating which side of the analemma is to be used. The shadow is in the blue of Scorpio. As we orbit the sun, earth’s axial tilt makes the sun appear lower in the sky until the December Solstice. Today, 11/1/26, the declination of the sun is ≈14° 14’ S ; it will reach its maximum southerly declination of 24° 44’ S on the December Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.
The sundial has also auto-corrected to the Standard time change, which occurred last night.
