Red Gold Sky, Purple Sea

At twilight the skies turned red orange gold and the sea turned radiant purple. At the coast if my memory serves me right, the month of October seems to bring the most colorful sunsets and sunrises.
As for the adage “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning" we'll see. According to the Library of Congress "Within limits, there is truth in this old saying."
