A pseudo comet

Around sunset, there was this bright comet-like feature near horizon (around 15 deg). I know it isn't a comet (it'd have been in the news): it's probably some kind of atmospheric feature or exhaust from planes.
I looked for it again after 15 minutes. It'd disappeared by then.
