Venus was captured today some 6 hours before inferior conjunction, it shows a 0.6% illuminated phase and 6.6° separation from the sun. It was not difficult to find using 10x50s and upmost care, hiding the sun behind a roof . Next inferior conjunction, in june 2028, will be not be possible to repeat the capture since the planet will be passing only 0.5° from the solar limb
