Waiting patiently

On a beautiful late afternoon I took a drive to see if the female half of the local Bald Eagle couple, that nest nearby her perch, was still around. Sadly, her mate was found with a double fracture to his wing, and was rescued. He has been away since the end of July, recovering. I was happy to see her, but I am hoping she doesn't find another mate before he is released.
