Big Sunspot 4551

Using a different telescope (a 5" ED APO refractor) we see that, big sunspot 4551 has a 'beta-gamma-delta' magnetic field that harbors energy for X-class solar flares. And any explosions today will be geoeffective because the sunspot is directly facing Earth. As seen through clear skies this morning.

127 mm Meade APO ED refractor, Baader Planetarium safety wedge, Cannon 80Da camera 20mm Clave eyepiece.
