When the Moon Bows to the Corona

When the auroral corona bursting in the zenith meets a full moon, even the moon's bright glow cannot overshadow its radiance. Late on the night of September 24, an extraordinarily powerful aurora put on a magnificent performance in the skies over Yellowknife.
