A Friendly Encounter On The Pond

A Canada Goose family sounding loud vocals swims past a blue heron who doesn't mind their noise at all. Shortly after, the geese flew off to where they roost in the evening. What looks like red algae that turns the pond water into reddish brick colouration is actually not true algae, but rather a fast-growing aquatic plant.
