Winter Milky Way

I decided to return to my roots if you will and do Milky Shots only with my tripod (vs using an AM5 & ASIair+). I was pleasantly surprised that I could do this reasonable a photo using only short exposures on a tripod and only using PI to process. The learning curve never stops in this hobby!

This time of the year the Winter Milky Way is low on the horizon and not till late in the evening.

This is only the second time I have used PI to completely process a Milky Way photo. I must say, while challenging to learn, it has proved worthwhile to use PI (as opposed to Photoshop or Affinity). Using the Antlia Quad I was able to capture enough Ha to emphasize the Ha (red) in the pic.
