Zodiacal Light, or the magic of the "False Dawn."

🌌✨While the world sleeps, the sky awakens in a choreography that unites cosmic dust, stars, planets, and ancient mythology.
This image was captured in the heart of the Alentejo flat lands "montado", just a few minutes before the start of astronomical twilight—approx. 1.5 hours before sunrise—revealing the "false dawn," astronomically known as the cone of the Zodiacal Light.
This luminous triangle is visible for only a few minutes and is the reflection of sunlight on interplanetary dust particles.
On this night, right at its center, shines the giant planet Jupiter.
The composition also captures the rise of Orion to the right—one of the most beautiful constellations in the firmament, whose presence already heralds the approach of the cold winter months.
Just below, the loyal Canis Major emerges, with the brilliant star Sirius piercing through the darkness.
