Blank Sun

Sunspot 4528 has rotated over the western limb of the sun. That being said, the sun will be blank unless another sunspot emerges before it departs.
As seen to me this morning, the face of the sun is blank. The only dark core on the Earthside of the sun was AR4528, and it has rotated off the sun's western limb. Its disappearance would bring the 4th spotless day of 2026, the most in more than 5 years.

I am proud of this dedicated solar telescope as I made it myself around a used Jaegers objective lens, bought on e-bay that had damaged coatings. A Moon Lite focuser, a Baader Planetarium Herschel Wedge. It has become my favorite telescope for sunspots!
