WR 134 in HOO

WR 134 (also known as V1769 Cyg) is a Wolf–Rayet star—a massive, hot, and rapidly shedding stellar core in its final stages of life. It has a surface temperature of about 63,000 K and a luminosity roughly 400,000 times that of the Sun. WR 134 is located in the constellation Cygnus about 6,000 light-years from Earth.
This image was captured over 3 nights with my wide-field deep sky imaging rig from my backyard.

Filter: Optolong L-eXtreme
Mount: Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro

All pre and post processing was done with PixInsight. Image processed in the HOO palette (Hydrogen-alpha mapped to the Red Channel and Doubly Ionized Oxygen mapped to the Blue and Green Channels). Total Exposure of 10 hours and 47 minutes across 3 nights (8/20/2026, 8/28/2026, & 9/6/2026).
