Sh2-155 The cosmic cave in HaRGB

This is the Cave Nebula (Sh2-155), a dim emission nebula situated 2,400 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus. Characterized by its dark lane of interstellar dust that forms a cave-like illusion, this active stellar nursery is a popular target for long-exposure deep-sky astrophotography. I photographed this nebula with specialized astrophotography gear over several nights resulting in a total imaging time of 39 hours.
