Photo were taken at the maximum of the partial lunar eclipse (magnitude 0.930) with two different exposures: a short one to show the lunar surface obscured by shadow (left), and a long one revealing how sunlight passing through Earth's atmosphere illuminates the lunar surface with a reddish glow (right).
