Two nights prior, I took 20 x 120 second images of the background stars, calibrated, registered and aligned in PixInsight
On the night of the eclipse, using the same equipment, I captured the moon, using much shorter exposures, also capturing a few stars. I aligned the same two brightest stars from the previous night with the night of the eclipse to create the composite image
