August 2026 Solar Eclipse
On 08/12/2026 06:09 pm by Mandy Daniels | Website | Higger Tor, Derbyshire Peak District, UK
The deep solar eclipse, visible from England and much of western Europe.
Images captured using a Hahnel intervalometer set to capture one frame every ten seconds. Frames manually selected for aesthetic purposes to compile the collage. Use of a Brewster angle Herschel wedge kept exposures extremely short, even at f/9.5 and ISO-64, thus freezing atmospheric seeing, so no frames were rejected.
The time given is for maximum eclipse.
