Perseid

This is an image of a Perseid meteor heading for the horizon very close to the galactic center this morning. It was taken out at my dark sky property, where I slept in my camper just outside my little personal observatory.

This was taken with a Nikon D810A and a wide-angle lens, on a tripod. I used capture software to take images all night with brief pauses in between. There was no tracking involved.

Very little post-processing. I lightened and sharpened the image slightly.
