This is a western facing star trail, showing the movement of the stars in the sky due to Earth’s rotation. This was taken in Green Ridge State Forest, some of the darkest skies in Maryland. Unfortunately, even with the beautiful dark skies, the horizon was washed out due to some wildfire smoke haze mixing with the minimal light pollution.
