First Light with the Askar FRA400 - NGC 6960

This is image is the results of 7 hours of exposure across 2 nights (7/23/2026 & 7/24/2026) with new deep space astrophotography rig based on my newly acquired Askar FRA400 telescope. The Target is NGC6960 (The Western Veil or Witch's Broom), Fleming's Triangular Wisp, and surrounding nebulosity. The Veil Complex was created when a star 20x's more massive than our sun went supernova about 10,000-20,000 years ago. The Red is Hydrogen Alpha (Ha) and the Green is Oiii. It is located about 1,400 to 2,600 light-years from Earth.

• Telescope: Askar FRA400 (no reducer)
• Camera: ZWO ASI2600MC Pro
• Filter: Optolong L-eXtreme
• Mount: Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro
• Exposure: 140 subs at 180 sec each for a total of 7 hours
• Accessories: PrimaLuceLab Sesto Senso 3 & SvBony SV241 Pro
• Software: NINA & PixInsight

all pre & post processing done in PixInsight. I also used 3 of RC-Astro's processes for PixInsight (BlurXTerminator, NoiseXTerminator, & StarXTerminator).
