Lunar Concentric Rings

I was just about to go to bed when I stepped out onto the balcony and took one last look at the sky.

I immediately noticed that something was different. The Moon was surrounded by delicate concentric rings, an optical phenomenon I had never witnessed before. The smoke from the wildfires lingering in the atmosphere was transforming its light in a remarkable way.

There was no way I could let the opportunity pass. I set up my tripod and captured a sequence of multiple exposures, allowing me to record both the intricate detail of the lunar surface and the subtle rings encircling it.

I like to believe that photography is, above all, an exercise in paying attention. You don't have to chase the extraordinary at all costs, you simply have to be ready to recognize it when it appears.
