The Red Crocosmia are blooming just about everywhere it seems, even on the oceanfront hillsides since they are resistant to salt water spray. They are hardy perennials that die off in the winter but returns faithfully in summer from underground corms. My photo isn't able to do justice to the beautiful scarlet flowers seen in person.
