AR4473 And New Large Region AR4478!
On 06/25/2026 09:58 am by David Hawkes | South Yorkshire
Perfect solar viewing conditions today (we are in the midst of a heatwave in the UK), as AR4473 moves towards the central region of the solar disk we see an exciting new region rolling in to view in the east. NOAA predicted (courtesy of observations from ESA’s Solar Orbiter) a large new active region rolling into view on 24th June, looks like this is the one, AR4478.
Skywatcher 200P 8” Newtonian, 9.5” Seymour Solar glass white light solar filter, Antares 1.5x Barlow lens, Baader UV/IR cut filter, Nikon Z7 II.
