Venus & Jupiter Conjunction June 9, 2026

It was a mostly overcast night that gradually cleared as nighttime approached. Hope was abundant, but the conditions were still uncertain. I stood in my backyard with my camera ready at any moment. Suddenly, breaks in the cloud appeared from the north, and then a beacon of light emerged - it was Venus, followed closely by Jupiter! Almost knocking over the tripod, I scrambled to get good focus and fired off rounds of pictures, hoping to get the perfect one! I'm sharing one of those images with the Earth Sky community :-)
