Eight Numbered Sunspot Groups
On 06/01/2026 09:32 am by Victor Rogus | Website | Sedona, Arizona, USA
There are eight numbered sunspot groups on the solar disk this morning. All were visible through my telescope and fair skies, all have stable magnetic fields that pose little threat for strong solar flares.
103mm Jagers refractor, Badder Planetarium safety prism, using neutral density and a solar continuum filter, Losmandy GM-8 mount. Cannon 80D camera. 650 FL 12.5 mm eye piece. I am proud of this dedicated solar telescope as I made it myself around a used Jagers objective lens, bought on e-bay that had damaged coatings. A Moon Lite focuser, a Baader Planetarium Herschel Wedge. It has become my favorite telescope for sunspots!
