High Resolution Moon at 55% Waxing Phase
On 05/23/2026 09:31 pm by Mandy Daniels | Website | Derbyshire, UK
Better, though not perfect, sky conditions allowed higher resolution and finer details to be resolved on the Moon than the previous evening. The camera was rotated to capture the whole of the gibbous Moon, but due to limitations in PIPP, the Moon has been cropped to 5000 pixels, losing small amounts of the north and south regions. To enjoy the view at full resolution, click or tap on the image and open it in a new tab, then zoom in. The detail along the terminator is breathtaking.
