Pink Sky after Sunset

The north west sky shrouded in pink and blue colours, some 10 minutes after the sunset. If not for the obstruction of the building and the train station, would have got an even a better picture ! The pink sky after sunset is an optical phenomenon caused by sunlight scattering off particles and water droplets in the Earth's atmosphere. As the sun sets, its light must travel through more air, scattering shorter wavelengths (blue and violet) and leaving the longer, pink and red wavelengths visible to our eyes.
